Rugby Nova Scotia (RNS) is one of Goalline’s exemplary associations, boasting a great looking site, which Rugby Nova Scotia takes full advantage of with an active news section and tons of great information. The association also uses its Goalline powered site to give out lots of love and attention to its many key corporate sponsors, which is essential for many amateur sports associations.
“One look at Rugby Nova Scotia’s site, and you know they are an organized crew and know how to market the game of Rugby to not only new players, but to their major corporate sponsors, who make the league possible,” notes Goalline’s Director of Marketing Luke Naylor. “One of our challenges for 2012 here at Goalline is to encourage everyone to fully leverage all the great features of a Goalline site – the more people know what’s possible, they more likely they are to fully use the site as not just a logistics platform, but a marketing platform as well, or just a great source of information for the community.”
One great initiative Nova Scotia Rugby has started this summer is summer flag rugby, which will run for 10 weeks in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As the RNS site states, the evasion nature of the game provides opportunities for players to develop basic principals underlying rugby and other sports such as soccer, basketball and hockey.
